I don't mind an insult or two. Getting insulted is a part of day-to-day life, so sweating it is wasted energy.
I've always wondered why people let others get to them so much. I think it's because we aren't taught to ignore it at earlier ages.
When we learn what hate is, we learn the ways that we are hated. That isn't usually met with lessons on how to be strong enough to not care about it.
With a little bit of extra perspective, it's easy to brush off negativity as just anomalous.
Maybe that kind of attitude pushes similar people to hate me, but there are always bigger issues. I don't have the energy to hate somebody who hates me for some bullshit that I don't even understand.
